Programs for Young People at First Presbyterian Church

__

Infants & Toddlers are cared for in our nursery. We provide a safe, nurturing environment full of developmental toys and activities, as well as, the tender, loving attentions of our nursery staff. Child care is available during Sunday worship & fellowship, and for all on-site church events.

The Kiddie Korner is located in a rear corner of the sanctuary, providing parents attending Worship with infants and toddlers a comfortable area where their children can read, play, and crawl around while allowing the parent to participate in the service. Quiet toys, coloring activities, books, and soft pillows are on hand. A rest room with changing table is nearby.

Children who attend the elementary class enjoy crafts and games while learning about the Bible. Children are given the opportunity to express their joys and concerns as they hear stories of love, justice, and worship. Adolescents can be busy and rushed with their many activities and we want them to feel that their church community is a place to feel welcome, included and happy. Teens meet regularly to join together in fellowship, worship and service. Activities and opportunities offered include: helping with the Crop Walk benefit; creating artwork for a silent art auction to benefit the local food pantry; lock-ins; whitewater rafting; and field trips to fun and interesting places like the Corn Maze near Lancaster. Some activities are planned jointly with peers from the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
