The church office is located at 9 North College Street, Athens, OH 45701 (phone: 740/593-3351). Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. from September to June. Pastor Martin is normally in the office Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During the summer the church office closes at noon on Fridays.
Rev. Robert Martin (rmartin@athensfpc.org), Pastor. A graduate of Muskingum University, New Concord, Ohio. and McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, Il. Rev. Martin has served churches in Indiana and New Jersey. Rob has been married to Barb, a Seconday education math teacher and administrator, for more than 30 years. Their children, Elizabeth, CFO for a local YMCA and her husband Adam who works in the film industry in NYC, and their son Benji who recently graduated from college. Rob also finds rest and renewal reading history, biography, theology, and a good novel, especially if it is written by Dick Francis. Kirsten Trachsel (ktrachsel1@gmail.com) Christian Education Coordinator, holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Kirsten taught instrumental music in schools in both Iowa and Texas. She also serves as the director of the Handbell Choir at AFPC. Kirsten, her husband Andy and their son Andersen moved to Athens in 2008.

Jane Baker (office@athensfpc.org) has been the Secretary and Administrative Assistant for First Presbyterian Church since 1995. She provides secretarial and associated services to the pastor, professional church staff, the Session, the Session committees, and the Board of Deacons, in serving the congregation. Along with her many administrative duties, Jane maintains the church calendar, schedules the use of church facilities, and is responsible for the publication of the monthly newsletter. Jane enjoys working in her flower garden and spending time with her seven grandchildren.

Janice Robison (hrobison@columbus.rr.com) has been organist at First Presbyterian Church since 1971. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from West Virginia University and a Master of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Kentucky. She previously served at churches in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Michigan. Janice accompanied students at the Ohio University School of Music for lessons, recitals and competitions for 25 years. She has been bringing organ recitalists to First Presbyterian Church every year since 1985, including winners of the National American Guild of Organists (AGO) Performance Competition. Janice is the Dean of the Southeast Ohio Chapter of The AGO.
David Tadlock (dmtstudio@aol.com) has been Choir Director of the First Presbyterian Church since 2000. He holds a Bachelors in Music from Indiana University School of Music, and a Masters and Doctorate from The University of Connecticut at Storrs. He teaches in the Department of Theater at Marietta College and also serves as guest stage director and voice coach for various local and regional musical productions. In addition to directing the church choir, Dr. Tadlock is the founder and director of The Genesis Theater Project, a summer musical theater group sponsored by the church.
