On the big football Sunday, canned and non-perishable food items will be collected for people in Athens area who need food assistance. It will be decided, by vote, that day to select which food program will receive the food and money given. This is a national event started by a Presbyterian Church’s youth group.

Lent, the forty days before and including Easter, begins February 22nd. It is a period for reflection on the death and resurrection of Jesus. Lenten devotionals will be available on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
